The annual tulip displays are always a favourite. From mid-September, thousands of tulips add plenty of colour around Rosalind Park, Pall Mall and the Conservatory Gardens.
Grab a coffee at Peachy or an ice cream at Augustus Gelatery (or both!), and take a relaxing stroll around the gorgeous displays.
Bendigo looks a little different after dark during Bloom After Dark, running from 18 September to 4 October.
Expect illuminated displays, projections and plenty of colour throughout the city. It's worth heading in after dinner or making an evening of it.
If you're visiting with the kids, put The Village of Gnomes on the list.
You'll find the gnome displays at Canterbury Park Gardens in Eaglehawk from 18 September to 4 October. It's free to explore and makes for an easy morning or afternoon outing. Located near the entrance of the park, drop into Skips Skateboard Shop for great coffee and welcoming local vibes.
If you feel like getting out of town, the Cornella Canola Walk is another one to check out, running until 27 September.
The canola fields are a pretty impressive sight when they're in flower, and it's a good excuse for a drive through the surrounding countryside.
Closer to home, Bloom Floral Flowers is back at the new Tram Cafe at Bendigo Tramways.
The cafe has been given a floral makeover, making it a great spot to stop for a coffee, catch up with friends or take a few photos.
Bloom is much more than the big floral displays. There are markets, workshops, garden events, food, live music and other activities happening throughout Bendigo and the surrounding towns.
A few other events to look out for include the Bloomin' Good Pop-Up Market, Harvest Moon Festival, Loddon Valley Arts Festival and the Vegecareian Festival.
The program changes throughout the season, so it's worth checking the full Bloom calendar before you head out.
If you're planning a spring visit to Bendigo, Bloom is a good excuse to get out and explore a few places you might not normally visit.
We're only around 19 minutes from Bendigo CBD, so you can spend the day exploring Bloom events and then head back to the park to relax in the spa or by the camp fire.
