Electric Wonderland Returns to Light Up Bendigo for a Fourth Magical Year

Returning from June 26 to July 12, 2026, Electric Wonderland is back for its fourth year, and it’s shaping up to be the biggest and brightest yet. What started as a creative winter event has quickly become a school holiday tradition for families across Victoria, with visitors travelling from all over the state (and beyond) to experience Bendigo lit up after dark.

This year’s event promises plenty of new interactive experiences alongside the favourites people have come to love. Visitors can wander through projection portals, step inside a giant magical snow globe, dance across interactive light pads that end in a fiery finale, and explore an immersive underwater “radiant reef” filled with glowing sea creatures. It’s the kind of event where kids can run around wide-eyed with excitement while adults are just as busy trying to snap the perfect photo.

What makes Electric Wonderland stand out is that it’s not just something you look at — it’s something you step into. The whole experience is designed to be hands-on, playful and immersive, making it easy to lose track of time as you wander through the glowing pathways of Rosalind Park.

And honestly, winter feels like the perfect time for it. Bendigo’s crisp nights, historic streets and buzzing food scene already give the city a cosy atmosphere during the colder months, and Electric Wonderland adds another reason to plan a weekend away or a family night out. Pair the event with dinner in town, a hot chocolate afterwards, or a wander through Bendigo’s CBD and it turns into a pretty memorable evening.

Event organisers say this year’s program will include even more opportunities for visitors to interact, explore and capture those “wow” moments. With thousands attending each year, it’s easy to see why the event has become one of Bendigo’s most anticipated winter attractions.

If you’re looking for a reason to get out of the house these school holidays, Electric Wonderland might just be the perfect excuse to embrace the cold and enjoy a night that’s colourful, creative and genuinely fun for all ages.
