Bendigo has done it again, taking home Gold in the Local Government Award for Tourism at the 2025 Victorian Tourism Awards.
The win is another big achievement for the region and adds to an already impressive run, with Greater Bendigo now making the finalist list for six years straight — bringing home four gold awards and two silver during that time.
There was plenty for locals to celebrate on the night, with Bendigo businesses also receiving recognition across a range of categories.
Bendigo Guided Tours struck gold in the New Tourism Business category for its walking tours that showcase Bendigo’s food, culture and history in a fun and engaging way.
Bendigo Heritage and Silver Spoon Estate both received Bronze awards, while Bendigo Chamber Music Festival and Fiesta Bendigo were all named finalists in their categories.
Mayor Cr Thomas Prince said the awards highlighted the hard work and passion of the local tourism industry and everyone involved in helping put Bendigo on the map.
With award-winning attractions, events, food, wine and accommodation, Bendigo continues to prove why so many people love visiting the region — and why they keep coming back.
